David Trubridge Lighting. Beautiful colors. |
I love, love love David Trubridge's lights. I have to figure out how to work one in someday. Can you see the shadows this beauty casts in the background?
The lights were displayed perfectly to show the full effect of their glow/shadow combo.
Another favorite. A giant Kindle Living outdoor light. Their tagline is "The Patio Heater Reinvented." I get a kick out of their big giant Alice in Wonderland lights. They had a smaller presence then last year... not that I am reading anything into it.
I was entranced with Light in Art's unique stained glass lights.
These are ceiling lights. How awesome would they look on your 50's ceiling fixture?
Pretty dangley little things.
These custom blown glass chandeliers from Seth Park Glass are entrancing. I imagine they are used in a few restaurant installations. A little big rock and roll, and a little bit art deco.
Okay, cheating. This should have been left for the odds and ends post. But I love this Christmas tree and am going to get one for work this year for our pole decorating contest. I shall win. Yes it lights up and is a decal -- from Wallflower.
Awesome!!!! Totally flat.
Can you see from this picture the tree is flat?
Go over to Wallflower and browse those decals. I am so, so tempted to redecorate our office right now.
Some fantastical little silver blobs. I love them, but they do frighten me. A little.
I'll end with some of my favorite lights at Dwell. Modfire!
Oh, I so totally want that.
These are little mini Modfire's.
You can see the color chips on the base of this display.
My husband totally badgers me for fire pits. This one I would gladly give in to. I think orange. What do you think?
Two more days of Dwell posts left. I promised 5 posts in 5 days and I will stick to it!
I was just looking at the Modfire site the other day. Those things are awesome!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I haven't bumped into Modfire before. They are a great present day take-off on the Preways. I will do one or the other on our patio that is adjacent to the kitchen. It is going to be kind of an outdoor room extension (putting a roof on it).
DeleteThe hanging lights (stained glass or especially the whitish ones) really get my attention. The perforated globe by David Trubridge could be great inside or outside...you went light on this post!
ReplyDeleteI know, I was a little light. But the show left me all a-glow.
DeleteThank you so much for taking the time to do these posts. After reading the Dwell posts you did last year, I told myself that I should go but once again, I failed! It seems sort of intimidating to a non-pro mid-century homeowner from the burbs to attend these fancy home tours and shows. I'm in Ventura County so it's a bit of a drive but very do-able. Here's to next year and thanks again for taking the time. I love your posts!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome and I am glad you are enjoying the posts. That is exactly the purpose...
DeleteYes orange! Do it!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Christmas trees--and no cleaning up pine needles! But where would I put all my keepsake ornaments?
